University of Kansas Services
Advocacy
The University of Kansas provides confidential services to students who have experienced interpersonal violence (e.g. sexual assault, rape, and harassment; sexual exploitation and other sexual violence; stalking; and intimate partner/dating violence). Melissa Foree is the coordinator of CARE Services, whose main role is to provide campus support for students who have been affected by interpersonal harm.
All support from CARE Services is free, confidential, and voluntary. CARE Services staff are not mandated to report incidents to any University officials or the police. CARE will believe you and support your decisions about what’s next.

Mental Health
CAPS recognizes that many University of Kansas students are being impacted by recent and historical events. Our staff are here to help students navigate through these times and understand that each of us is impacted in our own individual and unique ways.
If you are struggling or feeling overwhelmed, please reach out for support. Drop-in appointments are available. After hours, you may also access support by calling or texting 988. Contact information and further resources can be found on the CAPS website.

Medical
WHS primarily exists to provide healthcare to currently enrolled students at the University of Kansas who are eligible to receive some services at no cost and others at the reduced "Health Fee" rates. Learn more about your required campus health fee.
